0 Easy way to unprotect MS Excel Sheet. Option Protect Workbook is possible to reset and to remove password!

If you are having troubles with password protected excel sheets to which You had forgotten password, there is a very easy way to unblock, unprotect and remove excel password!

First of all, you need to open blocked excel file, make sure it it really protected- look on review and check if Protect Workbook is highlighted:

If Protected Workbook is active, pleas read next steps which will help you to unprotect:




Use your keyboard and run addition do excel - Visual Basic (special program to create macros). 

To do so, use shortcuts: ALT + F11 [press and hold ALT key and press F11 button].

You shoul see something like bellow:

Click Insert, next Module. New module will showup:




To remove password in Microsoft Excel, in text field on the right side, paste text which is located at the bottom of this page.

It shoul be looking like:

Next step, which will unprotest excel workbook is to click "play" button, marked yellow:



Ready! You have just reseted and ublocked excel workbook and sheets. Congrats!
